Have been behind the camera for some 40+ years, very much self- taught. Have a teaching background- and amongst other things my previous employer used me as their school and association photographer. At one stage I was the VFL Umpires photographer for VFL grand finals, which I did for some 10 years.
Currently semi-retired, run my own photography business (KDog Photography) and do work for schools. weddings, sports associations and banks. When not working I enjoy shooting the night sky, art silos and "explosive" seascapes.

Mike D is available for private bookings

Available Mondays to Wednesdays and some weekends.

This stingray knew exactly what to do and the light refracting through the water just adds to the whole feel.Shot in RAW format and colour corrected in Photoshop but no other adjustments required.

Luckily, for me, I was using my Nikon Z7 which allowed me to switch from raw to jpeg giving me 9 frames per second on motor drive. The deer remained ghost-like, unseen despite hours of quiet patience and soft steps.By late afternoon my hopes had dimmed so I began the slow walk back to the car. The path wound through
